There is only one issue.
To get Route 9 widened to 4 lanes. Now!
We can accomplish this with the support of the citizens of Dover, Lakewood and Ocean County at large. This
is not a political issue; it is a quality of life issue.
The New Jersey Department of Transportation (DoT) has neglected Route 9 in Ocean County for decades.
WHY?
The DoT spends an average of $324 per person state wide but only $94 in Ocean County. WHY?
At an August 17, 2005 meeting of the Dover Township Planning Board NJ DoT officials suggested that The township should
explore more creative ways to move traffic . They stated that widening Route 9 would be THROWING GOOD MONEY
AFTER BAD. WHY?
Thoes same officials also suggested that we encourage WALKING as one solution to our traffic
problems on Route 9; WHY?
Our Mission is to compel the NJ Department of Transportation to stop the neglect of the citizens of Dover
and Lakewood Townships and those of all other municipalities in Ocean County.
